
The „Lions“ sports association was founded in 2007. The founder of the club is handball coach Zoran Todić.
A new stable club was created in Serbia, which emphasized work with younger categories. The club continued to develop and today has 10 categories, starting with the senior men’s team that competes in the „Super B League of Serbia“, i.e. boys and girls born from 2008. to 2015. The club currently has more than 150 members in both competitions
Zoran Todić was born in 1980. At the age of 18, after an injury as a player, he decided to become a coach. He started his coaching career in 1998 in the handball club Partizan.
In one of the most famous and biggest clubs in Serbia, he became the coach with the most trophies for junior categories. In 2007, he left the Partizan handball club and after a few months founded the „Lions“ Sports Association.
During that period, he accepted an invitation from the Sinđelić handball club and stayed there for 3 years. In Sinđelić, he continued where he left off in Partizan and won many trophies. For years, generations of boys born in 1992 and 1993 were the champions of Belgrade and Serbia. Important international tournaments were also won, such as: Handball Cup Prague, Handball Cup Lundaspelen, Lokomotiva Cup – Brčko, etc…
In parallel, he worked in the handball club Požarevac with the senior team that he brought from the third league to the highest level of competition in Serbia in 3 years.
Since 2016, Zoran Todić has acquired the highest possible title in the world of handball, Master Trainer.
The players he created in that period and today successfully perform for the Serbian national team are: Bogdan Radivojević, Vanja Ilić, Đorđe Đekić, Lazar Kukić. More than 50 players are actively involved in handball both in the country and abroad.
